Blue Ridge Comforts opened in downtown Brevard, North Carolina, many years ago — starting as a fudge kitchen, and offering teas, cookies, jams, jellies and a few gift items, including handcrafted walking sticks and an occasional quilt — if an item said ‘comfort,’ it was fair game for our inventory .
Another part of our commercial building, a vintage home located in downtown’s Heart of Brevard district, houses a real estate agency, Brevard Realty Team. And in another area, we make homemade soaps and other body products.
If you aren’t familiar with Brevard, it’s a small, holistically oriented town tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains and blessed with hundreds of waterfalls. Did you see The Hunger Games? Some of the gorgeous outdoor scenes were filmed in our county, Transylvania.
Janet Wickell co-owns the businesses in our building and is also a licensed skin care therapist and massage therapist. She is an Esoteric Healing practitioner and Reiki Master.
